Hii,
My name is Victor.
I am self-learning software engineering. I am life-long learner. I am currently going back to learning Mathematics three years after dropping out of university studying it. I am also learning how to Japanese and Russian. 私の日本語は錆び付いています. Я только учу русский. Это немного сложно. I am currently doing a bit of DIY electronics and CAD thanks to a community I am part of, called Makermaknt
Some of the things I have dabbled in:
Talent House Project: It was a non-profit project to find talents in rural areas in Ibadan, Nigeria to give them a better environment in learning digital skill and finding expression for their natural talent.
We were able to train about 15 people in Animation, 3d Design, Mobile Development and Data Analysis.
We initially were bootstrapped but got a $1000 funding by Kei Hayoshi, who is now the co-founder for LocalHost Inc.
Got partner support by a NGO in the city
We couldn't finish the project due to many reasons including: [the building we were using] (tab:https://mayein.org/)was part of a bomb explosion, funding and I was very introverted to talk about it more in public and get more volunteer to help.
Talent House Project is a project dare to my heart, we still have some form existing structure on ground, with the necessary funding and call for volunteers I should be able to start again.
Consulting: Worked with pre-seed startup to consult and build their mvp for their software. It is something I still dabble in from time to time.
Volunteering: volunteered as open-source contributor for CHAOSS Africa, Gnome Africa. Volunteered in one of the biggest esport event in Nigeria
Intern: My first official job was as an intern at Alusoft Technologies, Ibadan. Which was fundamental to my self-learning path in tech. I also interned at Ennovate Labs, Ogbomosho
